Principal Update: Mr. T

  • Staff is very grateful for the t-shirts (last year), welcome back lunch and the updated staff lounge.

  • Intro to new staff

  • Back to school going smooth

  • Be sure to look out for his updates

In-School Enrichment : Nicole Alongi & Sheeren Bellinghausen

  • Teacher Appreciation: 

    • Teacher’s Lounge Cart - lead established! (Jennifer Whitney)

    • Teacher PTO Grants - new process defined and kicked off with teacher - $350 per classroom, $500 per specialist

  • Field Trip & Grade-Level Enrichment

    • Update on philosophy for 2025-26: STEM/ STEAM, Vinal CARES.

    • Field Trip planning with teachers has begun! PTO plans to cover all field trip expenses via the dues process.

Community Events: Beth Monticone & Lauren Previte 

  • Slushy social was a hit - good turn out despite weather

  • Kindergarten orientation completed with T-shirtd and slushies 

  • Welcome bags - delayed due to changes in backend of Aspen

  • 10/3: Fall Stay and Play. Will need volunteers to support.

  • 10/24: Trunk or Treat - revamped! More info soon. Will need volunteers to support and trunks donated!

Communications: Susan Davis 

  • Join the Vinal Facebook and Vinal IG pages!

  • Directory ad sales kicked off! Please remind folks to sponsor the directory! 

  • Gift of Giving Event: Dec 12. 

  • Send all items that need promotion to Susan!

  • Kicking off dues process - letter going home in backpacks this week (many of you probably already received!)   

  • 11/6 -Fun Run 

  • 9/19 - Picture Day 

  • 9/21 - Cole vs Vinal Mom Kickball event - Register for kickball soon!

  • Nov - Dads Band night with Cole 

    Miscellaneous : Katelyn Gleason & Katie Kenney

  • Revamped the staff lounge 

  • Staff Welcome Back lunch - South Shore Taco Truck 

  • Celebration Books - revamp coming soon. Due to the override failing, there’s no funds for new books - looking at ways that this could help us stock the library.

  • 11/20 - 24:  Bookfair - funds will be donated to stock the library

  • Need a lead for Norwell Cares day on 9/25
